Grand Hall

Celebrate your special occasion in timeless elegance. Located on the main level, the Grand Hall comfortably accommodates up to 240 guests in a reception-style layout. This beautifully restored two-level ballroom features a grand double staircase leading to a wrap-around balcony, creating a stunning focal point for your event. Guests will be captivated by the historic architecture and scenic views overlooking our formal gardens and the Grand River.

Your rental includes full use of the balcony, a spacious wood floor perfect for dancing, setup of tables and chairs, and a dedicated Activity Host for the duration of your event. The Grand Hall also features a caterer’s kitchen with a private exterior entrance, allowing vendors convenient and discreet access during event preparation and service. The Blake Room, included in your rental, offers an additional versatile space ideal for meetings, a dressing suite, or wedding preparations.

Enhance your event with the Grand Hall’s Steinway & Sons piano, available upon request. For a truly unforgettable experience, our restored 1928 theater pipe organ—operated by the Lansing Theater Organ Society—can also be featured with an organist by special arrangement.

The Grand Hall can be rented individually or paired with the Terrace Level as part of a whole-building rental package. This option is ideal for events that benefit from multiple gathering spaces or for couples who wish to host an outdoor garden ceremony followed by an elegant indoor reception, or an indoor ceremony within the Grand Hall’s classic setting.

Included with your rental of the Grand Hall are twenty-four 60-inch round tables and 240 white fan-backed folding chairs. Additional tables and chairs may be rented through local vendors to customize your event layout and accommodate your unique vision.
